Enchanting Funen - A Holiday Adventure
Outstanding nature and Hans Christian Andersen's adventures are some of the fantastic experiences you will enjoy when you spend your holiday on the island of Funen. The fairy tale adventure on Funen is made possible by the works of the world-famous author, Hans Christian Andersen. With fairy tales like The Little Mermaid, The Ugly Duckling and The Emperor's New Clothes, the author put Funen on the map. When you visit his well-preserved house and museum in Odense, it is easy to see where the author got his inspiration. Green hills, idyllic villages with old half-timbered houses, castles and manor houses dot the Funen countryside. There are also many attractions in the area to tempt you.
