No matter the rain, wind and cold, CPH STAGE 2017 can provide entertainment which will make you forget the weather. So, what events can you expect? Here are just a few of the performances.

CPH STAGE 2017 presents performing arts and contemporary theatre at various locations in Copenhagen from May 31 – June 11, 2017. Don’t worry about the fact that you don’t speak or understand much Danish.  From the more than 120 performances at CPH STAGE, about 35 will be done in English.  Some performances have been hand-picked and translated with you in mind.  They include nonverbal performance, dramas, reinterpreted classics and plays in both Danish and English with subtitles.   In addition, there will be seminars, a flea market, debates parties and so much more.

The opening performance called “The Blind Poet” explores “today’s multicultural Europe,” and includes culture, history and poetry.  It will be held at The Royal Danish Playhouse.

From May 30 – June 1, 2017, HUSH! will feature a thought-provoking documentary with interviews of victims and perpetrators of domestic violence.  Laughter and humour will be used to introduce, examine, heal and break the silence on a subject which is well-known but rarely discussed.  Now you will know what goes on behind closed doors…

We Who Live Backwards is a touching account of MarvanArkawi’s journey from Syria to Sweden.  Experience how virtual reality ‘puts you in his shoes’ when you use the VR glasses and headphones. This performance will be held from May 31 to June 4, 2017, at Sort/Hvid.

"The Body" which will be held at the Boat Theatre (Bådteatret).  What can you expect? Prepare yourself for dancers with puppets, who will perform a visual journey through the body.  You will sit with 75 other guests in the belly of an old boat and take in this fascinating show.  The performance will be held near the picturesque Nyhavn from May 26 to June 20, 2017.  Come and watch this non-verbal act for adults.  You will certainly talk about this many days after the performance!

My Table is Your Table combines food, drink and interesting conversation.  The venue is Warehouse9 on June 1 and June 2, 2017.

These are just a few of the many performances at CPH STAGE 2017.  For more information, visit their website here.
