    Attractions

There are loads of attractions in Copenhagen. Tivoli Amusement Park, Denmark's most popular attraction, is a must-see. Afterwards, walk on the world's longest pedestrian street, Strøget, which ends at Kongens Nytorv. The department store, Magasin, is just around the corner. Try some finger food and a draft beer at Nyhavn and admire the beautiful townhouses which sit near the canal.

    Canal Tours

From Nyhavn, take a canal tour which provides a fantastic experience of old and new Copenhagen. Enjoy the tranquillity as you sail by the Little Mermaid, the Queen’s residence at Amalienborg, the Opera House and the charming area of Christianshavn. Choose between the luxury or the budget canal tour. The trip takes about an hour. Check the weather and if rain is in the forecast, try one of the boats with a roof.

    Green Copenhagen - Free Experiences

For a change of scenery, try one of Copenhagen’s green areas. Freetown Christiania, one of Denmark's main tourist attractions with its beautiful scenery and distinctive culture, is a gem located a stone’s throw from the hectic city. Amager Fælled, near the busy area of Ørestad, is a great alternative, so when you stay at Danhostel Copenhagen Amager, you are next door to an oasis. Your morning walks will be amid the beautiful green surroundings. Enjoy a 4.6 km stretch of sandy beach when travel by Metro to Amager Beach (Strandpark) with lagoon, parks, and islands. Get a splendid view of Copenhagen from the top of the Round Tower. Walk to the home of the world's oldest monarchy when you visit Amalienborg Castle then cross the bridge and visit the tower of Our Saviour's Church in Christianshavn. A walk through the King’s Garden and Rosenborg Castle will do you good. Other iconic buildings include the large greenhouse at the Botanical Gardens, the Planetarium near the lakes and the whirlpool-shaped Blue Planet. A walk around Slotsholmen, Christiansborg, Kongens Nytorv and its adjacent streets is also worth a visit to see more beautiful architecture. Remember to look up.
