TAKE A TRIP TO CHRISTIANSFELD, A UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE
Half an hour's drive from Kolding, a special treat awaits you. Christiansfeld provides a special atmosphere. The town was founded in 1773, named after King Christian VII and has roots back to Herrnhut in Saxony Germany. Christiansfeld is one of the best-preserved Moravian settlements in the world. Christiansfeld's knowledge centre and tourist office located in Søstrehuset provides information regarding city walks and cultural events. Of course, your tour ends with honey cakes made in Christiansfeld. Remember to bring some of the famous honey cakes home with you. On the trip to Christiansfeld, stop at Skamlingsbanken, a beautiful place with an awesome view.
BLACK SUN IN TØNDER MARSH.
The locks at Højer and Vidåslusen offer the west wind's fresh air, and views of the Wadden Sea. Next to it is a small museum which tells about the wildlife in the marsh. Entry to the museum is free of charge.
