Address and contact info
Danhostel Fjaltring, Denmark’s smallest hostel, was built in 2000. We have 11 cosy rooms, a TV room, free Wi-Fi and parking, laundry facilities, a playground and a barbecue area. A local grocery store is close by and so is the bus stop. Fish, swim or kayak in the North Sea just 600 m away. Cycle routes are close by, and the bus/train station is only 6 km from our Danhostel.
We are near open fields on the outskirts of Fjaltring with stretches of sand dunes within walking distance and have extensive views of the North Sea. Due to the fertile agricultural land which goes all the way down to the water’s edge, the coastline here is different from the rest of the west coast. Because of the influence of the North Sea, the west wind and a 16,000-year-old ice front line, the landscape changes from plains to hilly moraines.
The child-friendly beach opposite Danhostel Fjaltring is the most popular on this stretch of the west coast. Fjaltring is known for its many cultural activities with annual fine art exhibitions, concerts and lectures at Tuskær Cultural Centre. There are also regular exhibitions at Galleri Tukak, plus a variety of events at Fjaltring Friskole.
Visit Bovbjerg (6 km to the north), the fishing town of Thorsminde (10 km to the south) and Lemvig by the Limfjord (17 km away). Danes are familiar with this area because of the comic strip, “Life in Lidenlund” (Livets gang i Lidenlund).
Stay at our cosy hostel and experience our West Coast hospitality. For more information on accommodation at Danhostel Fjaltring, please contact us by phone at +45 9788 7700 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to seeing you.
