Vikinger og Vadehavet

    En cykeltur i vikingernes fodspor
The trip goes to Ribe, a beautiful market town in Southwest Jutland, with a population of about 8,000. As Denmark’s oldest town, Ribe is packed with history you can experience from the saddle. The route offers activities for all ages, and, if you are interested in Danish history, stop and visit the attractions.

In Ribe and the surrounding areas, you will experience a unique landscape which has been – over time - shaped by storms and other phenomena. At Ribe Plantation, you can still see a tree which shows how high the water rose after a storm in 1911!

The Wadden Sea Centre offers exciting adventures for all ages and Wadden Sea National Park – one of the largest in Denmark – offers views over the Wadden Sea.

Learn about when Vikings lived in Ribe some 1200 years ago by taking a trip to Ribe Viking Centre. Other popular attractions are Ribe Cathedral and Ribe Art Museum.
