Danhostel Aarhus City, also known as Hallo Hostel, was previously home to Aarhus' Telephone Exchange. The equipment and friendly staff who kept people from all over the world connected filled the building with conversation and created a pleasant atmosphere that is still evident today. 

At Danhostel Aarhus City, reused material and furniture are incorporated into much of the interior design. This includes reused furniture from a luxury hotel in Copenhagen and handmade bunk beds built from reused materials. Fresh herbs and vegetables are also grown on the rooftop terrace and used in the kitchen.

We have 156 beds in 17 rooms. Each bed has a soft luxury box mattress, reading lamp and a power outlet. Our large dorms provide space for 6 - 8 backpackers in each room, while couples and families stay in private rooms. Each room has sun-blocking drapes and locked cabinets. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. A large, well-equipped guest kitchen is ready for use, plus an urban city garden and a rooftop café.
