Danhostel Esbjerg’s Double Anniversary
The Danish newspaper, Politikken, “dropped in” on a former college, which is now the beautiful and busy hostel, Danhostel Esbjerg.
Danhostel Esbjerg commemorates its 100-year anniversary in 2016, and Marianne and Børge Bull celebrate their 20th year as hosts.
This year alone, there have been 21,000 overnight stays at Danhostel Esbjerg. The hostel focuses on health and sports, and is just 100 m from a large swim hall, and many other excellent sports facilities. Danhostel Esbjerg is also a popular location for families with children, and an ideal location for guests who want to visit Wadden Sea National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are also excellent meeting facilities with modern equipment for business travellers.
This historic 53-room building from 1916 has modern conveniences such as flat screen TVs, and Wi-Fi throughout.
The article in Politikken is in Danish.
