Danhostel Esbjerg, housed in a historic building dating back to 1916, is close to many sports facilities and within walking distance of the city centre, forest and beach. Manager, Sally Due Sperling, provide an ideal base for accommodation in Denmark’s fifth-largest city.
Danhostel Esbjerg has 53 rooms - 20 of which have private bathrooms, plenty of cosy living spaces, a well-equipped guest kitchen and a basement with table tennis and table football. There are parking facilities and a locked bicycle shed.

The sculpture, Man Meets the Sea, is close to Danhostel Esbjerg. It was a gift to Esbjerg from Svend Hansen Viig to mark the city’s 100th anniversary as an independent municipality. The sculpture emphasises in an impressive fashion man's encounter with the harsh nature.
Take a trip to see the sharks and seals at the Fisheries and Maritime Museum located just a few km west of Danhostel Esbjerg. The mood is exhilarating in the city by the sea. You might be inspired to take a swim yourself after you leave the Fisheries Museum. Swim Stadium Denmark and the city’s other sports facilities are within 100 m of the hostel.
