Cisternerne - The Cisterns

    Cisternerne

Located just across the street from Copenhagen Zoo, you will find Denmark’s most unique museum called The Cisterns (Cisternerne).

This location once used to provide millions of litres of water to the city of Copenhagen, is now a fascinating wet cavern where art and glass can be enjoyed along with the stalactites and stalagmites.  Expect to find a damp, wet location, but one that is memorable. As you step in, you are greeted with art, architecture and atmosphere.

Take bus 6A from Central Station and get off at the Zoo. Just walk across the street and look for the grassy area on the other side. Visiting hours are Tuesdays to Sundays.
