Danhostel Silkeborg is probably Denmark's best-situated hostel. Our piece of paradise is located in Silkeborg Town Centre, on a beautiful plot of land near the forest, with the Gudenå River in our back garden. We offer 26 rooms, 20 of which have private bathrooms and a private entrance. Our amenities include free Wi-Fi, free parking, a conference room with the latest AV equipment, a café with an espresso machine and homemade cakes, a TV lounge, laundry facilities and a well-equipped guest kitchen connected to a large dining room. Our garden is right by the river, so sit on our outdoor furniture and enjoy the fantastic views of the beech forest, sailing boats, kayaks, and canoes.

For museum lovers, Silkeborg Museum is worth a visit. Among other exhibits, you will find the well-preserved corpse of Tollund man, which was found in a peat bog near Silkeborg. Museum Jorn, which houses various artwork is located by the Gudenå River and is a must see. One of the highest points in Denmark, Himmelbjerget, can be found close to Silkeborg.
